One of the best and healthy ways to savour the gastronomy of Montello is to plan either an equestrian or a bike excursion to visit the renowned international wineries and taste their great variety of wines, while passing by the numerous B&Bs and restaurants located in the area. There are a lot of DOC (controlled designation of origin) and DOCG (controlled and guaranteed designation of origin) world-wide-known wines that can be tasted along the Montello Wine Route and Asolo: Prosecco, Chardonnay, Pinot blanc, Pinot gris, Manoni Bianco, Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Bianchetta, Montello e Colli Asolani rosso, Montello e Colli Asolani bianco, Montello e Colli Asolani Venegazzù. Do not miss other wines produced by local winemakers such as Fragolino, Recioto and Verdiso. Among the typical seasonal products, it is worth mentioning the wide variety of local mushrooms, cheese, and salami which are mainly home-made by local farmers thanks to their expertise. Even the more demanding visitor will be satisfied with such a wide offer of products.
